(c)        Monthly Maintenance grant for Medically Boarded Out Personnel.                               This is given for six months when disability pension is pending at rate of       Rs. 2000/-PM for Officers and Rs. 1500/-PM for Airmen/NCs(E). Where the    pension/disability pension is not admissible, MM grant for life is admissible            at Rs. 3000/-PM for        officers and 2500/-PM for Airmen/NCs(E).

 

            (d)       Reimbursement of medical expenses for medical treatment not available     in Service Hospital/ECHS. Rs. 2500/- Maximum for all.

 

            (e)        Grant for purchase of medical aid like hearing aid, artificial limb etc            maximum of Rs. 8000/- for self only.

 

            (f)        Grant for daughter’s marriage – Previsous Restriction of minimum service             required has been dispensed with. Rs. 35000/- for Officers and Rs. 20,000/- for          Airmen/NCs(E).

 

            (g)        Financial Assistance to World War II Veterans/ Widows – Rs. 2500/- PM

 

                        He further stated that IAFBA welfare schemes are also available on            the IAFBA website – iaf.nic.in/iafba/india/php. Air Veterans can correspond with             IAFBA through e-mail [email protected]. He assured the members of the    Association that IAFBA would endeavour to continue to render financial support             to the Veterans & their families.

 

Presentation by PD, Dte of Air Veterans, Air HQ.   :-

He  informed that the endeavor of DAV is to attain 100% release of pension within one month of retirement, grant of special/ordinary family pension within 6 months and NE payments through electronic means.

 He briefly described the organizational chart of the Dte of Air Veterans and its related functions of the various sections namely pension processing time frame for Officers/Other Ranks and Family Pension, ECHS Card, Medical & Legal Cell. The Placement Cell, now provides web base functioning through dedicated website www.iafpc.co.in. During the one year of its functioning the placement cell has provided placement for 674 Officers and 7677 Other Ranks. The IAF placement cell has signed a MOU with Bangalore Metro for induction of retired/retiring Air Warriors which will continue with Metro Organizations likely to come up in other cities.  The cell had conducted special walk in interview for Air Veterans by Earth Intra Pvt Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd.
